One of the downsides of spending all our free time exercising is that the garden has been very neglected. We must have started it off with a good foundation, however, because it has been very forgiving. I’d venture to say this is my most successful garden yet. This morning, with Robbie enjoying the day with my in-laws, I resolved to get out in the garden and start hacking away at the morning glories.

I don’t keep a separate garden notebook and I know I won’t be able to find a post-it note to myself by next April. So this will have to do. Maybe any other gardeners reading might benefit from my “notes” or at least get a laugh at my follies.

This weekend was spent working in the ol’ “back forty” otherwise known as our enormous blank canvas of a yard. The fence is almost completely done now…and instead of making the yard feel smaller it actually feels bigger.
